DANIEL LEE, PH.D.
Dr. Lee is a clinical psychologist dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals. He offers expertise in trauma-related reactions as well as a variety of other issues clients might have (e.g., depression, anxiety, chronic stress, grief/loss, infertility-related stress, panic attacks, life transitions, coping with medical illnesses). Dr. Lee focuses on gold-standard, empirically-supported treatments, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Written Exposure Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Outside of his private practice, Dr. Lee is a Psychologist at the Pavilion at McLean Hospital and is a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Before transitioning to focus on clinical work, Dr. Lee was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and Staff Psychologist with the Behavioral Science Division of the National Center for PTSD at the VA Boston Healthcare System where he conducted research, served as the Director of the Clinical Research Fellowship Program, trained predoctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows, and served as a clinical supervisor.
Dr. Lee has served as a therapist, trainer, assessor, and statistical consultant on several of the largest clinical trials conducted related to PTSD, including nationwide private industry, Department of Defense, and Department of Veterans Affairs trials involving both psychotherapy and pharmacological treatments. He has given invited trainings and lectures related to PTSD assessment and treatment and advanced data analytic methods throughout the country, including

Dr. Lee’s work has been funded by the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Military Suicide Research Consortium. He has over 40 publications in many of the top peer-reviewed psychology journals. Dr. Lee has received numerous awards, including the Alies Muskin Career Development Leadership Award from the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA). Assessment
Dr. Lee received his doctoral degree from Auburn University and completed his clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Boston Healthcare System with appointments at Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine; he completed rotations in the PTSD and dual diagnosis (PTSD/substance use disorders) clinics. He then completed a National Institute of Mental Health T32 postdoctoral fellowship in traumatic stress research at the National Center for PTSD and Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine
